Working For Us

What's it like working for Pentest?

"Having spent (too) many years working for large corporates, joining Pentest brought a whole new set of challenges. Yes, being a consultancy, there can be elongated periods of "body-shopping", often away from home, and an expectation that when the work needs doing it gets done, however in my experience the Company has never shied away from recognising this commitment on behalf of its employees. On the flip side, during those on-the-bench (or beach as it is often referred to) moments you are openly encouraged to spend time researching areas that are of particular interest to you ... I suppose I should add "preferably work related" ... and to get involved in projects, often cutting edge, that you would not normally have exposure to. Being a specialist security company there is also the opportunity to work with some very knowledgeable and talented individuals. Given this and the Company's continued commitment to social events e.g. annual skiing trip, summer events, White Hat rally, Christmas bash etc., believe me I have worked in a lot worse places. One final thought whilst not wishing to suggest there is a beer culture, it does help your sanity if you like a glass of liquid refreshment, have genuine interests outside the IT industry and don't mind "the smoke" ..."
